President Buhari Accepts Ahmed Audi As NSCDC CG

The Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari  has officially agreed to appoint Ahmed Abubakar Audi as the new Commandant-General of NSCDC After Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu retired from the position.

Ahmed Audi stood out as the top best candidate out of those that went through the fair selection process initiated by the Ministry of Interior through the Board to ensure that the most qualified applicants amongst the top-ranking officers in the service was chosen to take over from the retired Commandant-General of the NSCDC Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu.

Also, The president has formally proposed Haliru Nababa as the current Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service , because of  the conformity of the Senate in accordance with the provision of the new Act which aids the establishment of  the Nigerian Correctional Service 2019.

The Minister of Interior and Chairman, Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Board (CDCFIB), Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola who congratulated the new appointees, asked and encouraged them to ensure they fully fulfill their mandate of their services as well as to ensure strong partnerships with other security agencies in the country with the aim of providing adequate internal security services and citizenship integrity for Nigerians and foreigners alike in accordance with the policy of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
